AQUA Pools & Spas Receives Two Awards in APSP International Awards of Excellence Competition
Atlantic City, NJ - AQUA Pools & Spas won two prestigious 2009 Pools & Spas of Distinction Awards during the 2009 Association of Pool & Spa Professionals’ Gordon W. Rudd Awards of Excellence ceremony held on January 26, 2010, at the Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
The Easton based company received one award for the renovation of an existing vinyl pool in Dorchester County to a custom concrete pool that featured a Pebble Tec interior finish, a sunledge, and two waterfalls. AQUA’s second award was for a custom residential pool in Rehoboth Beach that featured an attached spa with a waterfall, deck jets, and two sunledges.
There were more than 145 entries in the 2009 Gordon W. Rudd Awards of Excellence competition. These awards are presented annually to recognize and reward the most beautiful and creative installation of pools and hot tubs across the Region 2 area, which includes Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and the Outer Banks of North Carolina. AQUA was the only award recipient from Maryland’s Eastern Shore or Delaware. APSP members adhere to a code of business ethics and share a commitment to public health and safety in the use of pools, spas and hot tubs.
“We were excited to be able to continue the Gordon W. Rudd Awards of Excellence tradition again this year,” said APSP Region 2 Design Awards coordinator, Shirley Lester. The Design Awards ceremony is an important part of our Region programs, as it offers members and guests an opportunity to view the work of our top builders.
